Bold Steps, Bright Future YWL Confrence 2026

Young Women Leaders (YWL) invites students across the community to sign up for its annual leadership conference, a one-day event designed to inspire, equip, and empower the next generation of young women leaders.

This year’s conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. Carmen Garcia, Superintendent of the Morgan Hill Unified School District. Dr. Garcia will share insights from her leadership journey and reflect on the skills, resilience, and vision required to lead in today’s educational landscape.

Participants will engage in expert-led sessions covering AI in engineering, entrepreneurial leadership, environmental science, and strategic communication. These sessions provide attendees with direct exposure to professionals from across the Bay Area and offer a deeper understanding of how leadership manifests in diverse career paths.

In addition to expert-led sessions, the conference highlights the voices of students through interactive, student-led workshops. This year’s workshops focus on engineering, medicine, and mental health—topics chosen to reflect both emerging career interests and issues that directly impact youth today. By combining peer-led discussions with professional expertise, the conference creates a dynamic and relatable learning environment.

The event will also include lunch and a closing yoga session, giving attendees time to connect with one another while also prioritizing wellness and balance. The registration fee is $7, helping to make the conference accessible to as many students as possible.

The Young Women Leaders Annual Conference will take place on March 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Britton Middle School. Students are encouraged to attend to learn new skills, explore future career pathways, and build meaningful connections within their community.
